Part II: by air

Saturday, July 26, 2014

In the afternoon we took a helicopter scenic flight, known as the "Flight of Angels" - because that is how the angels see the falls when they are flying over them.  The mighty Victoria falls is breathtaking from the air and close up.  You can see the spray of the falls, and you can hear the thunder of the falls from miles away. The native name for the falls is Mosi-oa-Tunya which means the Smoke that Thunders. At night, I could not fall asleep because of the thunder of the falls.

Mike captured our flight on video, you can check it here.

That evening we had a farewell group dinner at Mama Africa - we said good buy to our fellow travelers, our guides and to a memorable 2000km journey through three amazing countries.  The  hunter pot - a warthog stew - was delicious.  Good buy to our fellow travelers - such a wonderful group of people we had a chance to spend time with!

After the dinner we went to party and dance with friends we had met.
