In Cape Town

Saturday, July 12, 2014

After the CSC assignment is completed, it is time for a well deserved vacation.  My husband Michael joined me in Jo'burg, and explored Jo'burg and Pretoria on his own during the time I was finishing the assignment.

We planned two weeks of the most exciting southern Africa vacation. Our first stop is Cape Town, and we took an early morning flight to get there.

Cape Town is definitely one of the most beautiful cities in the world. It has the most amazing natural surroundings between the Table Mountain and ocean, and is a sophisticated cultural center with bustling farmers fresh food markets, and excellent coffee and wines.

At the Neighborhood Market next to the Old Biscuit Mill.
District Six museum - the multicultural, multiracial District Six was bulldozed by the
Apartheid in '60.
In Bo'Kaap, the colorful neighborhood of Cape Malays.
